Publisher Thunderful Games recently held a digital showcase in which it announced the next chapter in the SteamWorld franchise. SteamWorld Headhunter is billed as a “colorful and stylized” adventure that’ll take the series in a new direction. Check out a trailer below.
An official overview reads:
Taking the series in a fresh direction, SteamWorld Headhunter is a stylised and colourful, third-person co-op action adventure with a head-popping twist. While maintaining the style and charm that’s helped make SteamWorld such a beloved franchise, this move into 3D represents a brand new approach to the series. Thunderful are excited to share more about their vision for this internally developed title soon.

Wavetale, a third-person action adventure brought to you by the folks behind Lost in Random and SteamWorld, will release on PC and consoles in 2022. It’s out on Google Stadia now.
3D platforming game, Togges, is a brand new 3D platformer from Regular Studio. It’ll release on PC and consoles in 2022.
Cinematic 2.5D puzzle platformer, White Shadows, will release on the PlayStation 5 among other platforms on December 7th.
Surreal first-person shooter Industria is headed to the PS5 in 2022.
Swordship is a unique shoot-em-up where you can’t shoot. It’s in development for consoles and PC.
3D platformer, Hellpie, and Western-inspired “motorvania,” Laika: Aged Through Blood, are also in development for consoles and PC. Official trailers have yet to be published.
