The Xbox Games With Gold scheme continues to throw out the freebies, ensuring that Xbox players are able to fill out their digital libraries for no cost. And as the middle of November 2021 rolls into play, those free games are switched up, with 2 new ones now available to download free of charge.

November is a fairly decent little month for Xbox Games With Gold fans, with the last couple of weeks having seen Moving Out and Rocket Knight stripped of their price tags. The latter of those continues to run free, at least until November ends, but Rocket Knight is going back to its usual price point imminently – if you haven’t yet grabbed the free download, you’ll need to be super quick.

But as two go, two more come in, and this time around it’s Kingdom Two Crowns and LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes.

The former of those games has been around on Xbox since 2018. Usually costing £15.99 and available from the Xbox Store, this side scrolling micro strategy affair comes with a rather tasty little pixel arted visual style. It’s one that delivers a great atmosphere, some highly addictive gameplay and enough upgrades and moments of discovery to keep you playing for some time. The fact that it is now free – until mid-December – is pretty much the icing on the cake.

Except for the real icing on that cake is the addition of Kingdom Two Crowns’ new premium DLC – Norse Lands. Rolling into view on the 16th November, just a day after the game goes free via GWG, if you’re looking to take that base game and immediately build on it, you can do. You’ll get to see what Norse Lands is all about by enjoying the trailer below. At least, as long as you can prove yourself worthy…

We think Kingdom Two Crowns having a price strip is the highlight of the next couple of weeks, but there’s a game running alongside that which is just as appealing – LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes.

A native Xbox 360 game that runs delightfully on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, we’re not really sure LEGO Batman 2 needs much selling, especially once there is no price tag to worry about. But sell we will and should you be looking for some LEGO fun, some Batman capers and some Super Villain silliness, this is a game that delivers. Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and more are all in the house, looking to save Gotham City from the hands of Lex Luther and the Joker. There are 50 characters included in all – we’re pretty sure your favourites will be in place.

Don’t let the old ‘native Xbox 360’ tag that comes accompanying LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes put you off. Go and grab the free download right now.

As always, let us know in the comments what you think of the Xbox Games With Gold titles for November 2021.
LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes

Kingdom Two Crowns

Game Description:

Kingdom Two Crowns is a side-scrolling micro strategy game with a minimalist feel wrapped in a beautiful, modern pixel art aesthetic. Play the role of a monarch atop their steed and recruit loyal subjects, build your kingdom and protect it from the greedy creatures looking to steal your coins and crown. In the brand-new campaign mode, monarchs must now work to build a kingdom that stands over time until finding a way to defeat the Greed for good. Explore the environments to discover new mounts and secrets hidden in the deep. But you don’t have to rule alone! Introducing a cooperative play experience that is totally unique to Kingdom: Two Crowns, monarchs can now choose between a classic solo experience or seek the assistance of a friend, working together locally or online, dropping in or out at will.
