Square Enix says that NEO: The World Ends With You “under-performed our initial expectations”

4 months ago, Square Enix released NEO: The World Ends With You. The game is a sequel to The World Ends With You, which had released in 2007. NEO: The World Ends With You is available on PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, Square Enix has suggested that the game hasn’t done that well with sales.

Square Enix recently held their November 2021 financial results briefing. During the briefing, they talked about how NEO: The World Ends With You did so far. According to Square Enix, “while ‘NEO: The World Ends with You’ was well received by users, it has under-performed our initial expectations”.
