Mark “Sully” Wahlberg’s mustache has spurred numerous headlines since the Uncharted movie’s second trailer went live yesterday, but we’re here to point out that the rest of the trailer actually looks pretty promising, too.

It kind of feels surreal saying that Sony Pictures Entertainment released a new trailer for Uncharted, which many of us thought would never see the light of day. Eons in the making, the movie went through numerous production challenges and staffing changes, but rest assured, Nathan Drake actor Tom Holland doesn’t seem to be in the mood for a rest and the movie looks well on track for its February 18, 2022 release.

Without further ado, watch the trailer below.

Uncharted revolves around a young Nathan Drake teaming up with Victor Sullivan to recover 500-year old treasure. The quest takes the duo on a world tour, but unfortunately for them, a powerful dude named Moncada (played by the talented Antonio Banderas) thinks he’s the rightful heir and tries to take Drake and Sullivan down.

An official overview reads:

Street-smart thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What starts as a heist job for the duo becomes a globe-trotting, white-knuckle race to reach the prize before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes he and his family are the rightful heirs. If Nate and Sully can decipher the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they stand to find $5 billion in treasure and perhaps even Nate’s long-lost brother…but only if they can learn to work together.

Uncharted‘s executive producers include Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Evan Wells.
