Sony Interactive Entertainment has launched an official website for PlayStation VR 2, allowing prospective buyers to sign up for relevant news and updates including release dates and pre-order dates and information. As spotted by MP1st, you’ll need to sign in to PlayStation.com using your PSN account in order to receive email notifications.

When do PSVR 2 pre-orders open?

At the moment, we don’t have a PSVR 2 release window let alone pre-order information but it looks like Sony’s gearing up to reveal more information soon. The company has been drip-feeding information about the next-gen VR headset and has now opened a webpage that not only details the device but it also promotes its first major AAA title, Horizon Call of the Mountain.

“Enjoy heightened sensory and emotional experiences as PSVR 2 Sense Technology combines eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D Audio and the new, intuitive PSVR 2 Sense controller to create an incredibly deep feeling of immersion,” the webpage reads. “Experience new sensations with stunning 4K HDR visuals, ground-breaking new controllers and genre-defining games, all made possible by the power of PS5.”

Sense technology features include:

  • Headset feedback
  • Adaptive triggers
  • Haptic feedback
  • Finger touch detection
  • Eye tracking
  • Tempest 3D AudioTech

A State of Play just came and went without any further news about PSVR 2 (this one was dedicated to Gran Turismo 7), but stay tuned as we’ll share updates here on PlayStation LifeStyle when we have them.

Opinion: Hopefully, scalpers will spare PSVR 2

Zarmena writes… It’s a good thing that Sony requires a valid PSN account to sign up for PSVR 2 pre-order information because if PS5 pre-orders and purchase experience are any indication, scalpers are going to be wreaking havoc once again. While it’s not that difficult to create a PSN account, at least Sony can tell genuine buyers apart from freshly-created scalper bot accounts.

In other news, GTA 6 has officially been announced and Naughty Dog has confirmed that it has three projects in development.
