After yesterday’s surprise drop of two new games added to Game Pass – Tunic (Cloud, Console and PC) and Paradise Killer (Cloud, Console and PC) – the momentum continues today with two other titles.
Shredders (Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC) and The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos (Cloud, Console and PC) are both landing on Game Pass today. At the time of writing, only Shredders is available to play, but The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos is expected to drop later.
Shredders is not, sadly, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game where you get to play as the old can opener. Instead, it’s a snowboarding sim, and it’s aimed very directly at snowboarders who want their favourite hobby to be replicated in a video game.
To that end, it’s packed with well-known names, like Jamie Anderson, Kevin Blackstrom and Leanne Pelosi, as well as real-world brands and sponsors, like The North Face and Vans. Belgian produced Jennifur has also composed the soundtrack.
But all of these are fringe details to the gameplay. This is an open-world snowboarding game with a variety of different terrains, requiring different controls to master them all. There’s a determination to make the control scheme an approximation of actual snowboarding, whether that’s street snowboarding or cruising down mountains. All of this comes with a fully-featured multiplayer suite, so you will be hitting the top spots with your buddies.
Shredders is a day-one Game Pass launch (grab it from the Xbox Store right now), while The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos has made its way to the service after nearly a year on the Xbox Store. That’s no reason to discount it, though, as we loved it in our review, saying “the story is good in its own right, but it is brought to life by the silly squabbles amongst the party. All in all, you can’t go wrong with The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk” and handing it a 4.5/5. If you’re in for some tactical dungeon-crawling and want your funny bone tickled as you do so, it looks like this will have your back.
And onto the announcements! Xbox revealed the remaining Game Pass titles for March, and there are some doozies. On March 22nd, enjoy Tainted Grail: Conquest (Console) and – one of the best puzzle games out there – Zero Escape: The Nonary Games (Cloud, Console, and PC). Then, on March 24th it’s Norco (PC) and F1 2021 (Console).
It doesn’t stop there! On March 29th, we have Crusader Kings III (Xbox Series X|S), and – finally – Weird West (Cloud, Console, and PC) on March 31st.
Which of these two – very different – games to arrive on Game Pass today will you be playing? Let us know in the comments below, or drop us a note on our social channels.
