As Series 6 of the Forza Horizon 5 weekly challenges come to an end, it’s up to the Spring months to pull together everything that went before it. In all, Series 6 has been pretty decent for those looking for new racing opportunities and car rewards and Spring offers up a final hurrah. Need a guide to help you nail those challenges? That’s where we come in.

Spring in Mexico is classed as the ‘Hot’ season, although for us Brits, we’d guess that any time of the year is warmer than it is over here. Expect the dry winter months to have long passed, and instead we get a bit of sun on the back as we go racing through all manner of new events. Why? Well, so we can gather up enough points to see the 650S Spider (20pts) and Aventador SVJ (40pts) arrive in our garage.

The best way of getting those cars added to your game is to follow our guide to Forza Horizon 5 Weekly Challenges Series 6 – Spring

Part 1 – Camp Out

The traditional (if you’ve been doing it since the game launched, it feels traditional now anyway), weekly car challenge this week is to drive the VW Type 2 De Luxe from 1963. Keen players should have won one as part of the Winter events, but if not it’s a mere 40,000 credits from the Autoshow.

Chapter 1:  Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Get in your hippy fun bus and hit the road!

Chapter 2: Through the Looking Glass

Simply take a photo of your minibus and Bob will be your mother’s brother.

Chapter 3: Wheels on the Bus

For this challenge, we have to complete an Eventlab event in the little beastie, so a quick search of the “Trending Today” section of the Eventlab will soon give you the choices you need. Finish the event to move on.

Chapter 4: Go Round and Round

For this last chapter, we have to hit the upgrade shop. We need to win a Cross Country race at a B Class 700, so I hit the ramp and came up with this share code :115451725.

With AWD and almost ten times the power of the stock trim, it does the job.

And that’s it, weekly challenge complete.

Part 2 – Weekly Challenges

Series 6 – Spring contains a couple of Eventlabs, a Trial, the triple threat of Trial Blazer, Danger Sign and Speed Trap, along with a hit of racing in the Seasonal Championship.

Eventlab 1 – PONDERNYEORB Presents Trial of the Grasses

Another week, another ridiculous chase around a rickety stunt course, this time in a Retro Saloon tuned up to B Class 700.

Obviously, being the age I am, it had to be the Ford Sierra Cosworth, didn’t it? My share code is 364526118.

The track is very slippery for some reason, so be careful on the hairpins. The prize for all this nonsense? Well, it’s an Audi R8 V10, so well worth doing the three laps.

Eventlab 2 – X DEAD ZEPPELIN Presents Festival of Forzakart

This event requires you to use any vehicle, as long as it is AWD and A Class 800. I went with an old school Range Rover from 1973, mainly because the track is so tight you need something with a bit of presence to hold your own.

The share code is:820731923 and while the track is dreadful to race on, I’m not going to lie, the reward of a Pinata Pop horn is really not worth the motion sickness that the track induces.

Speed Trap – Dustbowl

The Dustbowl  Speed Trap has to be blasted past at 135mph, in an Aerial Nomad, tuned to a max of A Class 800. Luckily, I have such a beast from a previous series’s challenges, so the share code is:144860625.

Approaching from the north gave the best results, as the road is fairly forgiving.

The prize? How about a Super Wheelspin? Mine gave me 5K, 15K and a Red Biker Jacket. Well worth the effort.

Danger Sign – Stadium Jump

In this challenge, we have to use an Extreme Track Toy, tuned to S2 Class 998, to jump a scarcely believable 365 metres. For some comparison, the standard 3 star distance is 274.3 metres…

Reasoning that lightweight and big power would be the way to go, I opted for an Aerial Atom V8, and the share code is: 402745677. And it appears my instincts were right, as despite the worst approach to a Danger Sign ever, I still cleared 374 metres on my first try.

Another Super Wheelspin will be in you possession if you follow my example.

Trial Blazer – Puerta Petra

This Trail Blazer has to be completed in a Class 600 Buggy, with 20 seconds or more on the clock. I fired up the VW Class 5 Baja Bug, tuned it a bit, and came up with this share code: 106105303.

Sticking to the road after the first jump is how I did it, and I found it helpful to mark where the finish line was so I knew when to turn off.

You too can win another Super Wheelspin for making it in time.

Seasonal Championship – Street Art

A Racing championship, against highly skilled Driverbots, in a Modern Muscle car tuned to A Class 800? It’s the stuff of dreams!

Famed for their inability to go around corners, Muscle Cars always tend to leave me cold, but if we have to have one, best make it a Mustang, eh? I went with the Shelby GT500, and tweaked it just a tad to make this share code: 402868577.

I didn’t have enough points left to upgrade the tyres, so it’s a slippy ride, but it will win.

Winning all the races (or two of three in a convoy, which ain’t bad, as Meatloaf once sang) will net you a tasty Dodge Challenger 1970.

The Trial – Red vs Blue

It’s the classic rivalry, Lancer vs Impreza, and while I love them both, an Evo VI TME is still my all time favourite of the two breeds, so I went with an Evo.

Tuned to a maximum of B Class 700, it’s not going to be a speedy race, so I concentrated on handling, and came up with the Evo VIII MR 2009 with the following share code : 141172186.

This event is against Unbeatable Driverbots, so you will have to get lucky with your team mates.

For winning? How about a Tuning Hoodie? What do you mean, no?

Part 3 – Other Challenges

It’s here where the now standard #PHOTOCHALLENGE comes in, complemented by a Treasure Hunt and Horizon Open race or two.

Photo Challenge – #RACINGSPOTS

Another week, another game of “Hunt the mural in Playa Azul!”.

This time we have to find the Senkoe Mural in the aforementioned town, and photograph a Toyota 86 in front of it. For the location, please see the pictures below. If you have bought the Lugar Tranquilo house in Playa Azul, it is right next door on the side of an orange building.

Your reward? Well, sticking with the theme established over the last few weeks, it’s a relaxed fit Tee, again. Senkoe’s relaxed fit tee, in fact. I hope they don’t get cold…

Treasure Hunt – Fine Tuned

The clue this week reads “Don’t try to sprint before you found your tunes, it’s hard to win” and the picture shows an Escort Cosworth. So maybe tune it up and win a sprint race?

I tuned mine to a B Class and then won a Road Sprint event, which turned out to be the right choice.

The Share code is:166994109. The location for the treasure is shown in the photos below.

Horizon Open – Spring Clean and Country Charm

These events in the Horizon Open scene are pretty straight forward, get ten Clean Racing skills and then complete a Cross Country Race in a custom playlist. As it is impossible to say what class you’ll be racing in, I can’t recommend you a car, I can only wish you good luck.

For completing the two challenges, you’ll get a Super Wheelspin and a BMW X5M respectively, so worth having a crack.

If you haven’t yet completed the Monthly Events for Series 6 – they of the Horizon Story – Drift Club Mexico and Emerald Circuits Rivals event – then they are still in place You really should have had these ticked off by now.

The conclusion of Series 6 with Spring should also mean you’ve gather up enough points to take home the Series 6 Season cars – Honda NSX-R GT for 80pts and #2 Ford GT40 too (160pts).

Series 7 challenges are coming soon and this one is entitled ‘Cinco De Mayo’. More car rewards are promised as are events that cover the ‘automotive heritage’ range. Oh, and just to round things out, you should be able to pick up a new car horn or five through Series 7 too. Stay tuned for our guides as we kick off with Series 7 – Summer, real soon.

To play Forza Horizon 5 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC, you’ll need to visit the Xbox Store. It’s freely downloadable through Game Pass.
