Cuphead has been available to play for 5 years now, and it has even been 4 years since the game’s DLC, The Delicious Last Course, had been revealed. And in just a couple of weeks the long wait for the Cuphead DLC will finally be coming to an end.

Well, Executive producer and studio director Maja Moldenhauer recently confirmed to Nintendo Everything that there is still a physical release of the game coming to the Nintendo Switch. They even suggest that fans “keep your ear to the ground in the coming months” because “we’ll have more to share about that”.

Moldenhauer also revealed that there was a “brief discussion at the beginning of the development in 2019 when we actually put pencil to paper” about The Delicious Last Course being a standalone title. However, Moldenhauer says that the team decided that “it fit this chapter of the Cuphead story. We really always wanted to have Ms. Chalice as a playable character, and so that fit, and storyline-wise it fit as well, so it just made sense for us to include it as a DLC rather than as a standalone game”
