The latest Japanese charts are in thanks to Gematsu and there’s been a few changes to the line-up this week. First up of course, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes has comfortably taken the top spot with a healthy 97,538 units sold, with Nintendo Switch Sports scoring silver at 19,255 units.

Mario Strikers: Battle League sees another drop in sales and falls down to sixth place in the charts, so it’s probably safe to assume that the fervour around the title has well and truly died down at this point. It’s nice to see Animal Crossing: New Horizons back in the top ten at number nine, and it definitely makes us wonder if any other title here will reach its monumental lifetime sales.

Here’s a look at this week’s charts in full:

  1. [NSW] Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes (Nintendo, 06/24/22) – 97,538 (New)
  2. [NSW] Nintendo Switch Sports (Nintendo, 04/29/22) – 19,255 (512,3010)
  3. [NSW] Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles (Aniplex, 06/09/22) – 10,663 (122,512)
  4. [NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo, 04/28/17) – 9,261 (4,691,651)
  5. [NSW] Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Nintendo, 03/25/22) – 8,239 (777,810)
  6. [NSW] Mario Strikers: Battle League (Nintendo, 06/10/22) – 7,688 (52,863)
  7. [NSW] Ring Fit Adventure (Nintendo, 10/18/19) – 7,437 (3,188,728)
  8. [NSW] Minecraft (Microsoft, 06/21/18) – 7,095 (2,684,472)
  9. [NSW] Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Nintendo, 03/20/20) – 4,621 (7,272,811)
  10. [NSW] Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo, 12/07/18) – 4,449 (4,909,639)

Looking at hardware sales this week, the PlayStation 5 has seen a slight boost, likely thanks to extra stock becoming available. It’s worth noting here that total sales for the Xbox Series X and S outpaces the PS5 once again if you factor in the significantly lower Digital Edition sales. The Switch, of course, remains the top dog for the week, with the OLED, Standard Model, and Lite making up the top three spots.

  1. Switch OLED Model – 28,267 (1,927,423)
  2. Switch – 19,089 (18,418,847)
  3. Switch Lite – 9,193 (4,771,088)
  4. PlayStation 5 – 7,257 (1,459,052)
  5. Xbox Series X – 4,881 (113,864)
  6. Xbox Series S – 4,034 (134,110)
  7. PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 1,924 (244,132)
  8. New 2DS LL (including 2DS) – 141 (1,187,199)
  9. PlayStation 4 – 17 (7,819,718)
