The latest UK boxed charts data is here (after a short delay) and as expected, EA’s FIFA 23 has taken the top spot, knocking Splatoon 3 down a peg after several weeks at number one.

This first place securement can’t really be attributed to Switch, mind, with the Nintendo console only making up 6% of total sales (PS5 brought in 41%, PS4 – 30%, and Xbox One produced 17%). This should come as no surprise, with the Switch once again receiving few updates with the game’s Legacy Edition, we can’t see the incentive to get out there and buy it – as is reflected in our unimpressed 2/10 review.

Elsewhere, this week has seen the Return of the Jedi, if you will, as Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has shot back into third position after spending the past few weeks at the bottom of the chart or off it completely.

Of course, it wouldn’t be the UK charts without the big names hanging around, and this week once again sees strong numbers for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Nintendo Switch Sports, Minecraft, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Pokémon Legends: Arceus – will they ever slow down?

That’s quite enough from us, so without further ado, here’s your look at the top ten for this week:
