In this episode, Did You Know Gaming takes a look at some facts, secrets, Easter eggs and history of the Sega Dreamcast. The Dreamcast is the successor to the Sega Saturn, and saw many of Sega’s most celebrated titles, including Sonic Adventure, Shemue, Phantasy Star Online and Jet Set Radio. Various iterations of the Dreamcast have existed by many different companies, including Nvidia, 3DFX and VideoLogic. Prototypes for the console were named White Belt, Black Belt, Dural and Katana. Through our analysis of the console’s development, Sega Dreamcast games and their gameplay and beta builds, we hope to show some of the more interesting facts from the making of the Dreamcast and have its history explained.
