Square Enix has announced a prologue demo for Octopath Traveler 2 is coming to PS5 and PS4 at 3 pm PST today, February 8. Those who try out the demo will be able to transfer their save data over to the full game when it is released on February 24.

What’s included in the Octopath Traveler 2 Prologue Demo?

Players will get access to the first three hours of the game and a chance to try out all eight playable characters: Hikari the Warrior, Agnea the Dancer, Partitio the Merchant, Osvald the Scholar, Throné the Thief, Temenos the Cleric, Ochette the Hunter, and Castti the Apothecary. All have their own stories to tell. Once the three hours are up, players can choose to restart the demo with a different character. However, the demo only has a single save slot that can be used to store data ready for transfer over to the full game, so any new games will overwrite previous data.

Those wanting to download the demo can grab it from the PlayStation Store right now. Like the game’s announcement, the demo reveal was first shown during today’s Nintendo Direct, but little else from that show will be heading to PS5 and/or PS4 consoles.
