PowerA MOGA XP-Ultra can be used across platforms

PowerA have proven themselves as market leaders with a host of different gaming controllers over the years, but with the release of their MOGA XP-Ultra Multi-Platform Wireless Controller, they may have created the most interesting option yet.

Whether it be standard Xbox gaming with the likes of the PowerA Spectra Infinity, the FUSION Pro 2 or even the glorious Cuphead: Ms. Chalice themed pad, PowerA have ensured gamers have had options to hand. They’ve gone further though with more mobile centric, Game Pass focused controllers too, with the MOGA XP7-X Plus Controller one of the most recent.

That was until the release of the PowerA MOGA XP-Ultra Multi-Platform Wireless Controller for mobile, PC, and Xbox Series X|S today.

The first licensed wireless controller that is capable of working on Xbox Series X|S, PC and mobile gaming (and you should read mobile gaming as making the most of the Cloud and utilising Game Pass titles), the MOGA XP-Ultra Multi-Platform Wireless Controller could well be seen as the ultimate controller. See, it features a fully modular design that allows the player to move from Xbox, to PC, to Android mobiles and across to selected Smart TVs.

We’re currently midway through a review of the PowerA MOGA XP-Ultra Multi-Platform Wireless Controller but initial signs are good, mostly as it allows for extremely flexibility. You see, the MOGA XP-Ultra will let you play your way, with a 4-in-1 design that features a compacted mini-pad complete with all the buttons, triggers and the like that you would expect, with that then slotting into a full-sized grip – add the two together and you’ll be treated to the power of rumble motors, mappable gaming buttons and a clip to attach your mobile device.

With a 2000mAh battery included, you can expect to get some 60 hours or play via the Xbox Wireless protocol (connection to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC), or 40 hours via Bluetooth for mobile or Smart TV play. With that in mind, the MOGA XP-Ultra Multi-Platform Wireless Controller could be the perfect companion for Game Pass players.

The key features in all include:

  • 4-in-1 modular design
  • Mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons on the full-sized ergonomic grip
  • High-capacity rechargeable 2000 mAh battery for up to 60 hours of gameplay via Xbox Wireless protocol and up to 40 hours via Bluetooth
  • USB-C charging port that also allows for wired connectivity on console or PC
  • Impulse triggers
  • Dual analog sticks
  • Concave D-pad
