In less than a week, The Game Awards will be happening. For the time being, there isn’t a whole lot of information about what gaming announcements will be revealed there. However, if a cryptic message that is being shared around is any indicator, we may now know at least one company that has something to share.

You see, a Twitch streamer has shared footage saying that they have been sent a letter by SEGA. The letter teases “new era, new energy” and suggests to tune in to The Game Awards on December 7th. The back of the letter has the company logo, but that is all the letter says in general.

So, what is SEGA teasing? it’s hard to say. It could be the “Super Game” that SEGA has been talking to investors in financial briefings about. It could be a new Jet Set Radio game, of which there have been rumors of. It could be a new game featuring a new IP from Yakuza developer RGG Studio that the devs have mentioned being in development as early as 2021. As for SEGA’s flagship franchise, it’s unlikely, but with how much the franchise has branched out in recent years, it’s not completely out of the question to see something related to Sonic the Hedgehog here. Whatever it is, it will be announced at The Game Awards. In the meantime, you can see the tweet from the receiver of SEGA’s letter down below.
