The Apex All-Stars Series continues in Forza Horizon 5, and as always, I’m looking forward to trying my hand at the various challenges and races that are lined up for us.
In this article, I’ll attempt to suggest cars and tunes for you try out, all as you look to complete the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 33 Autumn, in the hope of getting our hands on some exclusive cars.
Let’s go and see what Storm Season has in store, shall we?
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Grand Tourer
This week’s challenge gives us a choice of one car – the second generation Ford GT, this time the model from 2017. With a step down from a V8 to a V6, can it still provide the thrills of its predecessor?
Should you not have one in your garage, then they are available in the Autoshow, at 400,000 credits. Or, complete the Making History Seasonal Championship to get one for free!
Chapter 1 – Big Shoes to Fill
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.
Chapter 2 – Packing a Punch
Now we need to score two stars at the La Silica Speed Zone. Stock trim is fine. This is over on the extreme left of the map, and we need to average 90 mph to clear this.
Chapter 3 – Project Phoenix
As this project arose from the ashes of a cancelled Mustang, we need to earn 3 Ultimate air skills. Nope, me neither!
Chapter 4 – Part of the Family
Now take a photo. Not rocket science…
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 33.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.
The Trial, the Eventlab making a triumphant comeback, PR Stunts and three Seasonal Championships. It’s a slight improvement, I suppose…
The Trial – Porsche it to the Limit
Oh dear, let’s kick off we mean to go on with the puns!
We need an S1 Class 900 Porsche Track Toy, and I went with a 911 GT2 RS from 2012, share code : 129256081.
The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race The Trial like it should be done is a Porsche 911 GT1.
Eventlab 1 – HOKIHOSHI Presents Red Bramble Raceway
This time we need a Track Toy, tuned to only A Class 800. I went with the BMW M3 GTR, and the share code is :198385025.
An enjoyable track, I had fun giving the handbrake a little tug as I went round the tighter bends.
Take away a Super Wheelspin for completing this, why don’t you?
Eventlab 2 – DECESARIS29 Presents Circuit de Mulege GP
For this event, we need a GT or Super GT car, tuned to A Class 800. I chose a Bentley Continental GT from 2017, and the share code is : 102502146.
A course filled with very tight corners, all this served to do was kill any flow, what with the need to constantly have to brake to make it round. Not a fan, I’m afraid.
For winning out, we can take away a Zenvo TSR-S. Just right for the Treasure Hunt for this week too!
Eventlab 3 – XRCOSWORTH01 Presents The Lodge Raceway
A Hypercar tuned to S1 Class 900 is required for this event, and so I chose a Koenigsegg CC8S. Share name for mine is “CC8” with my GT, Red620Ti.
Another super twisty track, but the excitement of the car class makes this one fun. Very challenging!
We can take away a Nissan GT-R from 2002 for winning out.
PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Bulevar
This week, all the PR stunts need the same class of car, a Super GT tuned to S1 Class 900.
We need to clear the trap at over 188 MPH, and this car should do it easily – The Ferrari 812 Superfast. Share code for mine is : 261040765.
Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.
PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Canyon Pass
Same car class, same challenge, same car!
The target this time is to exceed 162 mph.
Yet another Super Wheelspin? D’oh!
PR Stunt 3 – Speed Zone – Rio Fuerte
Some average speed driving to do here, and this time the target is 120 mph. I went again with the same Ferrari as above.
Another Super Wheelspin. I just can’t…
Seasonal Championship 1 – Vroom Vroom Saloon!
Those pun writers are back.
We need to use a Super Saloon, tuned to A Class 800. I chose an Audi RS6 Avant from 2015. It may not be a saloon, but it counts! Share code is : 736888629.
For winning out, we can take home a #24 Ferrari P4.
Seasonal Championship 2 – Making History
Ford GT40 vs #24 Ferrari P4, either of which is tuned to A Class 800. Sounds like a rerun of Le Mans…
If you want the P4, do the championship above first. Simples!
I went with a Ford GT40 Mk1, and the share name for mine is GT40 with my GT, which you should know by now!
The prize for winning is a Ford GT 2017, which we need for the weekly car challenge. Handy!
Seasonal Championship 3 – A Hero Comes Along
The class this time is “Homologation Heroes”, and the tuning limit is B Class 700. This isn’t a class you can search for, and so I chose a Sierra Cosworth, share code : 156659146. Feel free to follow that advice.
Prize for winning is a Peugeot 207 S.
Part 3: Other Challenges
There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 33 Autumn. Although this time all we have is a Photo Challenge and a Treasure Hunt.
Photo Challenge – #CARRERAATPROSPERA
We have to photograph a Porsche Carrera at the Tierra Prospera Circuit start line. Should be fairly straight forward? Simply pick your fave and snap away!
Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.
The reward? A new Traffic Cone Outfit.. Could the era of the dinosaur be coming to an end? Let me know what you’re wearing by heading into the comments.
Treasure Hunt – Zoomin Zenvos
The clue this week reads “These Danish cars are both so cool, so let’s head down to Oceano Azul, the target is clear, go set three stars, once this is done you’ll win gold bars!!”.
The picture shows a Zenvo, and I’m guessing we need to set a three star score at the Oceano Azul Speed Trap, which needs a speed of 225 to get three stars. It is on the left of the map, near the ocean and Club de Opalo de Fuego
I tuned mine a tad, the share name for mine is “TSR”. This is the TSR-S model, for the avoidance of doubt.
The location of the Treasure chest is shown below, and it contains 250,000 credits.
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Hammer Shadow
We need to use only a Hennessey Venom, tuned to S2 Class 998 for this event. The target? A mere 235 MPH. This F5 can do over 300…
I used the Venom F5, as it is quicker, and the share name for mine is “F5” with my GT, Red620Ti. Approach from the north, but be ready for the bump just before the camera.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. You know, those things we really don’t need…
Seasonal Championship – Poison Drive-y
We were reaching a bit for that pun, weren’t we?
We need to use the Hennessey Venom again, so I stayed in the same F5 from above. I couldn’t fit AWD, so it’s a bit lively!
Completing the championship will get us a Dodge Viper.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Crateres Secos
Get in a 1990’s Toyota Celica, tune it C Class 600, and try to beat the target.
We need to hit 58 mph average, which sounds easy, but this is a C Class car…
I used a Celica GT4 ST205, and the share code is 861264673. Approaching the zone from the top was slightly easier.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – Rally Royalty
Guess what we need this time? Yep, the same Toyota Celica as above, so no point changing!
For winning either solo or in a convoy, it is a car horn – Reaper Cackle
The rewards for Series 33 and Autumn in Forza Horizon 5
With Series 33 on the move, we can start saving up those points to get our hands on the cars for the month. And they are the Pro Stock Camaro for 80 points and a Hot Wheels Trans Am for 160. Start as you mean to go on!
Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 33 as well. There are four to try your hand at this month – Sierra Verde Sprint, Bahia De Plano Circuit, Bola Ocho Circuit and finally Los Jardines Circuit. Post a clean lap on each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.
Grab enough points and Series 33 Autumn also sees you given access to the exclusive #98 Elantra for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get an Alfa 155, a hard to find car apparently.
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
