If the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door isn’t available in your time zone yet, then you won’t have many hours left to wait. With the game now released in some parts of the world, dataminers are now starting to take a look at the remake’s code to see if there is anything interesting hidden inside.

Sure enough, there has been a very interesting discovery. Dataminers have discovered code for handling 4K resolutions in the game. While this would technically mean that the game is 4K compatible, obviously the Nintendo Switch isn’t. Because of that, as well as all the rumors of Nintendo’s next console going on, this data-mined discovery will only add fuel to the Switch 2 speculation fire.
