You’ve got to give it to GameSir for muscling in on the gaming world like they have. Over the last few years they’ve gone from nothing to a proper powerhouse, covering a whole ton of controller bases. Their latest options are that of the new Kaleid and Kaleid Flux controllers – officially licensed for Xbox.

We’ve been hands-on with a ton of GameSir gear over the years, with the GameSir G8 Galileo controller near perfect for Game Pass use. We’ve even used the GameSir T4 Kaleid Wired Controller too – even though that didn’t want to play ball with our Xbox consoles.

New Xbox controllers from GameSir

Now that changes with the officially licensed Kaleid and Kaleid Flux controllers. Both suited to Xbox play, whether that be on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One or PC, the Kaleid and Kaleid Flux are wired controllers that look to enhance your gaming experience. They come with advanced features, vibrant illuminated LED strips and – most importantly – a comfortable design.

As you would expect to hear from a GameSir product, these are engineered with precision, packed with features and pretty much perfect for most gamers. And to round things off, they are extremely well priced – the Kaleid running around £59.99 and the Kaleid Flux for roughly £55.49

These Xbox-licensed controllers feature GameSir’s signature Hall Effect sticks, which effectively deliver an anti-drift glide and a reliable, precision-tuned performance on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10/11 and Steam platforms. The Hall Effect Analog triggers are designed to deliver a consistent output, ensuring that actions like accelerating or braking during racing games give reliable and predictable results. And then the textures on the grips, triggers and bumpers keep fingers firmly in control during rapid actions, while also ensuring comfort and a strong grip during extended gaming sessions.

Both models boast a stunning transparent design that incorporates a couple of customisable LED light strips that can be tailored to your unique preferences, to suit different environments, moods and styles.

Microswitch or membrane?

The Kaleid has microswitched ABXY buttons, rainbow light colors, and an original PCB pattern printed with ‘KALEID’. The Kaleid Flux features membrane ABXY buttons, a stunning gold light color, printed with a stylish damascus pattern.

Each are equipped with four distinct motors and that should mean these controllers can deliver both strong and subtle vibrations as needed, enhancing the tactile feedback for a more immersive gaming experience. With two asymmetric motors in the grips and in the triggers, gamers can truly experience the real, precise feedback of crashes, gunshots and bumps. The two macro back buttons offer extensive customization, allowing users to map them to a single button or a combination of buttons based on their preferences.

Need more? Well, you’re getting it as a turbo function can be enabled for rapid, repeated inputs. And for those that like to play FPS and action games, there is a useful quick-switch to Hair Trigger Mode, which can be enabled simply by holding M + LT / RT buttons for 3 seconds. When precise linear control or ultimate responsiveness is required, the Kaleid family of controllers give the competitive edge each and every time – or at least that’s what GameSir hope.

Throw in the GameSir Nexus software App and you’ll be able to create controller profiles by mapping buttons, fine-tuning the sticks and triggers, and configuring vibration and light effects. Up to three profiles can be saved simultaneously, allowing players to adjust their settings based on the game they are playing.
