It’s been known the Alan Wake 2 DLC, The Lake House, is slated to launch this month, but a date has yet to be formally revealed. However, a recent leak suggests it could release in less than a week.

Alan Wake 2 DLC The Lake House launches October 22

As spotted by X (formerly Twitter) user PlotPointsYT, EB Games may have accidentally posted the upcoming Alan Wake 2 DLC release date. According to the game’s store page, The Lake House launches on October 22, 2024. Presumably, this would be for all platforms, which includes PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Back in July, Remedy confirmed the Alan Wake 2 DLC The Lake House would launch in October 2024, but did not specify the exact date. The physical edition is releasing on October 22 as well, so it makes sense the developer would release the DLC with it.

It seems the Alan Wake 2 DLC release date was set to be revealed during tomorrow’s Xbox Partner Preview, which specifically named The Lake House as one of the headlining titles for the presentation. With October 2024 almost over, it seems like the perfect place to drop the date. It will probably still get formally revealed there, but the element of surprise is certainly diminished.

“The Lake House is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organization to conduct secret research… until something goes wrong,” reads Remedy’s description of the expansion. “Explore the Lake House and embark on an adventure as the realities of the Pacific Northwest and the Dark Place collide again.”

The Lake House is the second expansion for Alan Wake 2. The first, Night Springs, is a trio of bite sized episodes based on the game’s in-universe Twilight Zone equivalent Night Springs. It sees Tim Breaker, Jesse Faden, and Rose Marigold in some whacky situations.

Both Night Springs and The Lake House are part of Alan Wake 2’s expansion pass, which costs $20 via the Deluxe Upgrade. Players who bought the Deluxe Edition should have access to Night Springs now and The Lake House when it presumably releases next Tuesday.
