Croc was my first 3d platformer ever. I loved it as a kid, but I am well aware it is not “good”. I don’t know if I want the remake because I’m not sure if I’ll get much value from it.

I already have the majority of the game memorised in my head. Even the weird secrets like stomping three times on the floating platform in the very first screen of the first level to enter a bonus room with 1ups, or falling off the bottomless cliff near the cogs in one of the ice levels to find a bonus room. Or having the dang pattern of the incredibly annoying sheep challenge completely memorised. Aggh. I don’t know if I need to play this remake lol, it’s possible I’ve had enough Croc to last a lifetime.

On a similar note, Rollercoaster Tycoon was also a beloved childhood game of mine. But unlike Croc, this is a game that has infinite replayability, so it may be fun to get it on Switch for the sake of it, even though I still have the original CD ROM somewhere in the house and could easily get it running on my laptop right now if I felt so inclined…. I guess having it on Switch would be a fun novelty. But it’s not a priority by any means.
