2025 is just kicking off and various video game companies and industry figures have been sharing their plans for the year ahead.
As for the Japanese developer Inti Creates, it hopes to announce “several titles” this year. Unsurprisingly a major focus will be placed on its signature style “2D action games”. Here’s exactly what the CEO and president Takuya Aizu had to say about this in a new year message on social media:
“Happy new year. This year, we plan to announce several titles, with a focus on our company’s specialty of 2D action games.”
In 2024 Inti Creates released games like GUNVOLT RECORDS: Cychronicle, Umbraclaw and Card-en-Ciel on the Switch. The new Castlevania-like Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is also on the way this year and will be arriving in March.
The company’s most recent Switch release was Divine Dynamo Flamefrit in November 2024. It’s a top-down action-adventure dungeon crawler which we gave seven out of ten stars here on Nintendo Life. Here’s some details about it from our review:
“Divine Dynamo Flamefrit is actually a spin-off of Inti Creates’ deckbuilding roguelite RPG Card-en-Ciel, which launched just weeks prior. In the universe of that title, Flamefrit is a successful entertainment franchise consisting of a popular anime and several tie-in games — the first of which is ostensibly the very game that we’re reviewing now. That meta element and background context isn’t necessary at all to enjoy what Divine Dynamo Flamefrit has to offer, but it’s a neat bit of fanservice that strengthens the game’s appeal toward anyone who has given Card-en-Ciel a go.”
