Sony has rolled out a fresh batch of PS Plus Premium discount offers for January 2025, and as we’ve come to expect, they’re targeted offers for select members. This means that how much of a discount one gets and when the offer expires varies from recipient to receipient. Additionally, there’s no criteria for who gets the discount.
PS Plus members urged to avail discount offers as soon as they see them
We’ve seen multiple reports over the last week of PS Plus Premium users receiving up to 25% off when renewing their annual subscription ($120 instead of $160), indicating that the offer is for existing subscribers only. In all of the cases we’ve seen so far, the users are nearing the end of their current subscription, so those who’ve let their memberships expire might not be eligible either.
One of the users noted that they were also able to stack using the 25% discount. At the time of this writing, we have not seen reports of other tiers receiving any discount offers.
We advise our readers to take avantage of the discounts as soon as they appear on their PS App or console’s PS Store. This is because we’ve spotted at least two complaints from readers who’ve said that they were given an offer with a validity of January 31, 2025, but when they went to avail it days later, the offer disappeared.
We’re not sure why the offer would simply disappear, but make sure to keep an eye on your subscription page.
