Rumors of a Gaming brand of LEGO have gathered steam this week after a German retailer posted a listing for a Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck set. As spotted by Instagram user brick_clicker, the now-removed listing on Wagner’s toy store website placed the set under the LEGO Gaming banner.

A picture of the 76989 Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck set was not included in the listing, but the set was advertised as suitable for those aged 18 years and up, meaning it will be a LEGO for Adults creation. It’s thought the set would just be a display piece for the Tallneck, although many fans are hoping for the inclusion of an Aloy minifigure too. The set was listed for €79.99 (around $90) and had a release date of May 1, 2022, although LEGO is yet to confirm any of these details or even the existence of the set.

The possible existence of a LEGO Gaming collection emerged in September when a Polish retailer branded an upcoming Overwatch 2 LEGO set as part of a LEGO Gaming range. The reason for the rebranding could be because of the current fate of the Overwatch LEGO sets. First introduced in 2018 with a range of six sets, the original Overwatch range was retired at the end of 2020 after just two waves. A third wave of six sets failed to materialise, although one of those sets is now expected to be released as an Overwatch 2 set. This is the 76980 Overwatch 2 Null Sector Titan set that features just over 900 pieces and two minifigures of Tracer and Mei.

So far the LEGO Gaming range is thought to include 11 sets, including the Tallneck set and the aforementioned set from Overwatch 2. Interestingly, one of the discontinued Overwatch sets was set to have the 76989 number identifier that’s now apparently been granted to the Horizon Zero Dawn set. As always, as soon as we hear more we’ll be sure to let you know.
