“It’s not obvious at first glance, but Grid Legends is a definite step up from Grid 2019, with a bigger collection of circuits, more race types, and some extremely clever hop-in multiplayer. It’s not a dramatic leap, though, particularly as the reused car roster grows stale and the customisation options tread water. Still, this brand of accessible racing action remains high on contact and high on excitement, and the fact that the live-action, documentary-style story can harken all the way back to 2002’s TOCA Race Driver is a cute and effective flex for a racing series with such history.”
