Games Beat journalist, Jeff Grub, who has recently appeared on the Xbox Era podcast claimed that the multiplatform Roller Champions will be canceled after Season 3 finishes. Ubisoft has recently had to delay several games and has scrapped some others blaming the changing workplace due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The free-to-play game only launched in May 2022 and it seems it has not been a success that Ubisoft Montreal hoped for. However, Ubisoft has said that it has performed better than Hyper Scape which was a free-to-play battle royal game from Ubisoft which was also canned. The company is hoping for success this year with just two games which are Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and the long-delayed, Skull and Bones. As always this is a rumour and Ubisoft has not confirmed that Roller Champions development is ending.
