R-Type Final 2 DLC Set 7 Xbox

The R-Type series recently reached the ripe old age of 35 years. In gaming terms, it is one of the old boys now, but this didn’t stop R-Type Final 2 coming out to strong reviews back in 2021. And the post-release has been consistent also. In fact, today even has two new sets of DLC for R-Type Final 2 on Xbox and PlayStation. But don’t worry, you don’t need to purchase both of them.

First up is R-Type Final 2: DLC Set 7. You can probably guess this is the seventh piece of DLC for R-Type Final 2, and following previous trends, it comes with two new stages. Or rather, older stages revamped for R-Type Final 2. The two new stages are:

  • Stage 1 from “Battle Chopper”
  • Stage 3 from “In the Hunt”

DLC Set 7 can be found on the Xbox Store priced at £6.99.

However, DLC Set 7 is part of a larger DLC set. You could call it a Season Pass. Set 7, along with the upcoming Set 8 and Set 9, can all be found in R-Type Final 2 Stage Pass Volume 3. All upcoming content is due to be out before October 2022.

In total for Stage Pass Volume 3 there will be seven new stages. Two in Set 7, two in Set 8 and three in Set 9. We do not yet know which stages exactly they are – or if there are any brand-new ones – but we will let you know when we know.

Stage Pass Volume 3 can be found on the Xbox Store priced at £19.99.

Will you be picking either of these up? Let us know in the comments below if you do.
