There are now over 180 games published by Ratalaika Games on Xbox, so you’d struggle to find a gamer without one on their card. They’ve encompassed almost every genre during that time and appealed to almost every gamer too. Today’s offering is a point and click game with a creepy atmosphere, which feels somewhat like a lost genre. Hopefully not though, as The Dark Prophecy is out today on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
The Dark Prophecy itself is a love letter to the point and click games of old, just to double down on it feeling like a dated genre. In it, you play as Jacob, an ordinary boy tasked with an extraordinary task. Caught up in some strange events, he is now the sole person who can save the kingdom in this medieval tale. Take a look at the trailer below:
You will need to solve puzzles, find items and explore unusual locations. The Dark Prophecy also features:
- Point-and-click fantasy quest
- Explore a detailed medieval kingdom
- “Look at/Use/Talk to” interactions
Did we mention that The Dark Prophecy is a Ratalaika Games title? That usually means a short experience alongside some easy achievements, and I’d wager some good money on that being the case here also.
Up on the Xbox Store now, The Dark Prophecy will cost £8.79. As is also normal for Ratalaika Games, there is an introductory discount dropping the price down to £7.03 for a short period. Our review is coming very soon so stay tuned for it.
