Activision urges FTC to take note of The Last of Us HBO show
In a series of tweets, Meservey praised The Last of Us TV series and urged U.S. regulator Federal Trade Commission to watch the show. FTC recently sued to block the Microsoft Activision deal.
According to Meservey, the HBO show’s overwhelming success is proof that Microsoft’s purchase of Activision won’t harm Sony.

“In gaming, Sony is ‘the first of us’ and they will be just fine without the FTC’s protection,” Meservey concluded.
Meservey’s tweets drew criticism from a number of followers, who pointed out that Sony helped create The Last of Us.
