It was back in 2019 when we had the chance to combine science, horror and mystery as one, playing through the chills of Close to the Sun. But now the Italian devs at Storm in a Teacup are back with their next project, giving us a glimpse of STEEL SEED.

Close to the Sun was a game we very much enjoyed too – running a 4/5 in review, we spoke of the great story and setting, the exploration, the puzzles and the brilliant visuals. If only it had ditched the chase scenes…

Following on from the historic horror found in Close to the Sun, STEEL SEED tells of how thousands of years have passed since humanity took their planet to the brink of destruction. It was then when AI looked to take control, fighting back.

But under the surface hid some survivors, waiting for the right time to emerge. That was until a new threar popped up. Is it human? Or Machine? And what does it mean for the remnants of the Human Race and their machine guardians?

Who knows, but STEEL SEED and Storm in a Teacup will look to tell us when the game releases on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC in 2024. If you’re in the market for a new stealth action title, this is one to keep an eye on.

Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi, Storm in a Teacup CEO & Creative Director said “STEEL SEED represents the most challenging project till now for Storm in a Teacup, featuring both a varied combat/stealth system and incredibly deep and emotional storytelling. STEEL SEED is an epic journey that will test your humanity.”

For now, the official reveal trailer is below. You’d do well to check it out. Once you have, drop into our comments section and let us know what you think of the release of STEEL SEED on Xbox, PlayStation and PC in 2024. We’re on the usual social channels too.
