Ratalaika Games are back with another cheap and cheerful gaming experience – but this one is a bit of a Little Disaster.
I mean, it might not be, and in fact it may be quite good, but the clue is perhaps in the name.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Little Disaster is the latest from the uber prolific Ratalaika Games, as they team up with the creative minds at Petite Games to provide players with an explosive new puzzler that just so happens to work as a platformer.
Priced at £4.99 with an early launch discount dropping it down to a mere £3.99, Little Disaster tasks you with working your way through 70 levels of puzzling goodness. Your goal will be to navigate to the super shiny crystal which is hidden in the world. The thing is, you’re a bomb – and you just love to explode without a care in the world.
Thankfully it’s this exploding mechanic that will help you traverse each stage, blowing things up around you, manipulating the areas to your needs. The downside is that you’ll be at the beck and call of your explosion meter; dare take a second to think about what you are doing and it may well see you blasting off to outer space.
Little Disaster looks like it could well be a decent bit of fun though, with the following key features in hand…
- Puzzle platformer based on explosion mechanics
- 70 levels with increasing difficulty
- 4 different environments
- Vibrant art
- Funky music
We’ll be reviewing Little Disaster on Xbox Series X|S (this is a fully new-gen optimised title) and will let you know our thoughts as to this latest Ratalaika Games title in the coming days. To get access for yourself, head to the Xbox Store and grab the download, playing on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S.
Little Disaster is also on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
Game Description:
Help this little disaster to reach the shiny crystal on every level in this explosive puzzle platformer. Watch the timing of your explosion-meter, otherwise you can destroy everything around you! Use your brain to solve each puzzle, and complete more than 70 increasingly difficult levels across four different environments. You can even ascend into space if you’re good enough!
