The Audeze Maxwell Ultraviolet is stunning!

We’re big fans of Audeze and the headsets they have delivered to the world. But we’re not sure anything has taken our fancy quite like the new limited edition gaming headset that have created in partnership with Microsoft.

Audeze have today announced a limited edition Ultraviolet version of their much acclaimed Maxwell gaming headset. This comes in partnership with Microsoft, working through their Designed for Xbox Summer product collection. Frankly, it looks absolutely stunning.

The Audeze Maxwell

We first told you of the Audeze Maxwell at the back end of 2022 but with the limited edition Ultraviolet Maxwell, you can ditch the matt black for a ton of colour. In what must surely be one of the finest looking gaming headsets on the market, the new Audeze Maxwell Ultraviolet Edition Wireless Gaming Headset will launch come August 15th 2023.

It should come as no surprise to see Audeze and Microsoft team up either. It’s something that has been going on since 2021, when Audeze released the Penrose X. They continue to lead the way in the headset market, especially for those looking to run planar magnetic audio.

What’s new with the Ultraviolet?

So what are we getting in this new version of the Maxwell? Well, it’s all about the sparkle and shine with the latest Designed for Xbox collection and that is front and centre here. To elevate the already chic look of the Maxwell headset for the collection, a color-shifting finish was painstakingly applied to the ear cups and headband. It’s done so via an electroplating process, resulting in a stunningly one-of-a-kind look.

But away from the looks, you’ll find a host of great features too. Improving low-latency wireless gaming through relentless innovation, Audeze’s Maxwell Ultraviolet Edition wireless headset features Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, Dolby Atmos, and FILTER™ A.I. noise-reducing microphone technology.

If you want to game like a pro, the massive 90mm planar drivers and 80-hours of battery life will certainly help. With Audeze having recently powered pro Call of Duty: Warzone player, Aydan, to top spot in stage 1 of the North American World Series of Warzone, their headsets are sure to help us normal folk too.

“Having a high quality headset while playing at the top is a must,” said Aydan. “The biggest challenge [at WSOW] will definitely be the LAN event and getting out of our comfort zone but I feel when using Audeze headphones I can be the first to hear footsteps and start with an advantage in every gun fight,” he added.

There are some big numbers in the key features

The Audeze Maxwell Ultraviolet Edition Wireless Gaming Headset will include:

  • 80 hr+ Battery Life with Fast Charge for all day play in 20 min.
  • Award-winning Audeze 90mm Planar Magnetic Drivers.
  • Ultra-Low Latency Wireless with 3X range of traditional 2.4Ghz.
  • First-in-Class Bluetooth 5.3 supports LE Audio, LC3plus, LDAC.
  • Class-Leading High-Resolution Audio up to 24-bit/96kHz.
  • Embedded Dolby Atmos® License.

As always, the comments are below for you to let us know if you need this new Maxwell in your life. We do.
