Astrolabe Games and AeonSparx Interactive have announced that their top-down twin-stick shooter, Zombie Soup, will be leaving Early Access and launching on August 10 for Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game initially entered Early Access on June 7 for PC. Zombie Soup offers a thrilling gameplay experience, combining top-down twin-stick shooting, puzzle-solving, hack-and-slash action, and intense encounters with deadly zombies and other creatures. Developed by AeonSparx Interactive from Malaysia, the game has received recognition in the gaming industry, winning third place in the “PC Indie Pitch” and receiving nominations for Best Game Design, Best Technology, and Best Audio in the “Level Up” competition.

The game’s story revolves around Ricky, who finds himself in a town overrun by zombies. In his quest to rescue a young girl named Ashley, Ricky embarks on an unexpected adventure with the help of a talking skull named MC Skully. Players will face hordes of zombies, challenging puzzles, and tough bosses with unique abilities. Zombie Soup offers a wide array of weapons, ranging from conventional firearms like rifles and shotguns to melee weapons such as machetes and axes. Additionally, players can wield special and offbeat weapons like a nail gun, pitching machine, fireworks launcher, and even a railgun. Completing timed challenges and defeating bosses will unlock even more powerful weapons, enhancing the player’s arsenal.
