IGN awards Mortal Kombat 1 Switch 3/10, Ed Boon tells BBC game will be fixed

No doubt you will have seen the reviews and previews for Mortal Kombat 1 on the Nintendo Switch which are rife on YouTube namely because it is clearly a poorly produced port which has ultimately resulted in a dire 3/10 review from popular gaming site IGN. Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has spoken to the BBC about the Nintendo Switch version of the game and says that it will be getting an update and that a number of the issues raised by consumers and reviewers will be addressed. He also said “It would have been ideal for us to have released the version that we absolutely wanted” and that it “is going to be fixed.””

Series creator Ed Boon tells BBC Newsbeat the hybrid console’s version will “absolutely be getting an update”.

“And a number of the the concerns of the issues that had come up will absolutely be addressed,” he says. 

“It would have been ideal for us to have released the version that we absolutely wanted. 

“But anything that we’re finding a problem with is on our list and is going to be fixed.”
