Epic Games is presumably celebrating and breaking out the champagne at the moment as it has emerged that the popular free-to-play game achieved a record-breaking 6.6 million live players yesterday. There were 2.3 million+ players playing the recently released LEGO Fortnite game mode alone, which is staggering. The game also saw the introduction of Rocket Racing yesterday, which also helped boost the numbers. Yesterday saw the game having its largest player count since they started recording them back in March 2023. The highest it has ever been was during a special event day, which saw a player count of 11.6 million, which isn’t being counted.
