Ubisoft is investigating reports of a data breach

Bleeping computer is reporting that Ubisoft had a data breach on 20th December and that the company’s internal software and developer tools were leaked online. The news came about as security research collective VX-Underground shared on social media screenshots of the company’s internal tools. They tweeted that the individual had access for roughly 48 hours until administration realised something was off and access was revoked. They aimed to exfiltrate roughly 900gb of data but lost access. Ubisoft issued the following statement to Bleeping Computer.

“We are aware of an alleged data security incident and are currently investigating. We don’t have more to share at this time,”
