One of the games that was announced in the recent Nintendo Partner Direct was Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The SEGA and Atlus game had been rumored in the days prior to the Partner Direct’s release. When it was officially announced, the game’s release date was confirmed to be June 21st.

That said, some more details about the game was shared yesterday. It was announced that the game will have 2 story scenarios that players can play. One is the original story told in the original Shin Megami Tensei V, which is called “Canon of Creation”. Meanwhile, the “Canon of Vengeance” scenario will begin the same as the “Canon of Creation” one, but diverge in the middle and latter parts of the game. Because of that, this story scenario will have a different ending.

So, the additional story scenario means that it will take players much longer to complete the game than it did for the original Shin Megami Tensei V. In fact, you’ll need to spend double the time to complete it. Both story scenarios are 80 hours, brinigng the game completion time to 160 hours.
