Rumor: Keanu Reeves to play Shadow in Sonic Movie 3 (update: officially confirmed)

Update: The Hollywood Reporter has now reported on the matter and they have officially confirmed it.

There have been a lot of rumors in regards to the cast of the third Sonic the Hedgehog movie. For example, there were some rumors that Hayden Christensen would be joining the cast to play Shadow the Hedgehog in the film. Those rumors have since been called into question, but that has paved the way for another rumor to appear.

Film industry insider John Campea recently did a video podcast episode today. There, he explained that he was told by “someone most people may recognize” at a CinemaCon party that Shadow the Hedgehog would be voiced by Keanu Reeves. He said that the news is “100% locked” and that major movie journalism publications, such as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, will be reporting on it very soon.
