DOOM games are no stranger to the Nintendo Switch. Classic DOOM games, DOOM 2016 and even DOOM Eternal are currently playable to play on Nintendo’s hybrid console. That all said, it has been a while since there has been a new DOOM game. DOOM Eternal was the most recent release, and that was 3 years ago.

Well, it seems that things are about to change. Insider Gaming is reporting that a new DOOM game will be revealed in Microsoft’s presentation, which is slated to occur on June 9th. Its code name was “Year Zero”, but now has the final name “DOOM: The Dark Ages”. As for the game itself, the only thing they learned is that the game is described as a “medieval inspired doom world”.
