You may recall that, last month, Nintendo had nominated 4 people to join the company’s board of directors following a busy financial results meeting. They are Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi. However, to actually join the board of directors for the company that made the Switch, the nominees had to be approved. This had to be done at the shareholders meeting that took place the other day and had been a source of a bit of news.

Well, the nominees have been officially approved. Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi are now a part of Nintendo’s board of directors. Out of the 4 that have joined, 3 of them are women. This now brings the total amount of women on Nintendo’s board of directors to 4. Prior to 2020, there was none.
