The CEO of Weltrend Semiconductor, Inc, which is a Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer, has apparently stated that “orders for video game consoles will recover in the third quarter.” He says that this is down to “shipments of the new PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch models.” We already know that Sony is readying its PlayStation 5 Pro console, Microsoft has a new Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition model coming out, and obviously we are all awaiting the successor to the Nintendo Switch, which is expected to launch after March next year. The source of this information comes from MoneyDJ, which apparently has a fairly spotty track record, so take this with a grain of salt.
