Silent Hill 2’s PS5, PC remake has received stellar reviews, and its dev Bloober Team is understandably very relieved. The studio was under quite a lot of pressure to strike a balance between staying true to the original while bringing the classic to a modern audience, and it has certainly delivered.

Silent Hill 2 dev responds as PS5 remake earns positive reviews

At the time of this writing, Silent Hill 2 has earned an average rating of 87/100 on Metacritic (PS5 version), with at least 49 reviews accounted for. A day ago, we shared that Japanese publication Famitsu gave the game its first review score of 35/40, which is higher than what it awarded the original.

While Konami and Bloober Team have yet to respond to the remake’s reception, Bloober Team seems to be having a blast responding to fans on X. The studio is visibly relieved.

This is quite a feat for Bloober Team as many said that this project may define the studio’s future. When Konami revealed who was behind the long-rumored and highly-anticipated second outing of Silent Hill 2, many were skeptical about its choice of developer.
