Alright, all you weirdos out there are going to have to pour one out. The new Stellar Blade x Nier: Automata DLC “punishes” players who try to look at Eve inappropriately while using the new cosmetic items. However, this unexpected kick is actually an Easter egg from the beloved franchise.

Eve’s new camera kick in Stellar Blade is a nod to Nier

As seen in the video below, Eve is wearing one of the new cosmetic items from the new Stellar Blade x Nier: Automata DLC. When the player attempts to look up Eve’s skirt, she promptly kicks the camera away.

While some may cry of censorship, real ones know this is actually a Nier Easter egg, which makes sense as the new DLC is a collab with Yoko Taro’s creation. In Nier: Replicant, players caught looking at Kaine inappropriately also receive a swift kick. It actually takes it a step further, and players who are repeatedly caught will actually be killed by Kaine, resulting in a game over screen.

Nier: Automata’s 2B also prevents pervy players from looking up her skirt, albeit less aggressively. She will simply shoo the camera away.

The Stellar Blade x Nier: Automata DLC released yesterday, November 19, 2024, for PS5. At $9.99, the pack includes loads of cosmetics for Eve, as well as one for the Drone, Adam, and Lily. Here is everything included in the DLC:

  • Four Nanosuits for EVE
  • One Face Accessory for EVE
  • Three Hairstyles for EVE
  • One Cosmetic for the Drone
  • One Cosmetic for Adam
  • One Cosmetic for Lily

To obtain the cosmetics, players must travel to the Wastelands or the Great Desert where they can find Emil’s Shop, a character from Nier: Automata. Find them will grant access to the themed cosmetics.

Stellar Blade is one of several games with PS5 Pro enhancements. This allows players to maintain solid performance at 4K resolution.
