PS Stars Update Adds New Rewards… That Don’t Work

A PS Stars update has added a bunch of new rewards to the program, which would prove to be a huge improvement over previous offerings if they actually worked. We’ve given up figuring out what Sony‘s up to, especially since the company continues to ignore complaints, leaving players at the mercy of the utterly useless PS Support. But to keep our readers posted, it’s not just you who can’t claim any of the new PS Store rewards.

PS Stars update adds new games, but Wallet funds remain missing for many

In the absence of Wallet funds, which remain missing for a large number of players, the PS Store rewards section is the only useful way to spend those precious points.

Sometime this week, Sony added Phasmophobia, Squirrel With a Gun, [Redacted], A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, Romancing Saga 2, Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants Unleashed to the rewards catalog (note: rewards vary for everyone).

At the time of this writing, a large number of players — myself included — cannot redeem Phasmophobia, Squirrel With a Gun, [Redacted], Romancing Saga 2, and TMNT Mutants Unleashed. That’s 5/8 games unavailable to redeem despite having enough points. Don’t get us started on the busted campaigns.

So, to recap, it’s not just you. PS Stars is still broken, half the rewards don’t work, there’s still no response from Sony, and PS Support agents remain clueless.
