PS Plus Premium users are reporting that Sony’s official PS2 games emulator has received some stealth improvements yet again. Sly Cooper 1 is one of the games that recently received a patch on the PS4 and PS5, following which players noticed significant visual improvements.

PS2 games on PS Plus keep getting better

Following players’ reports, folks over at PushSquare did some testing of their own and confirmed a boost in image quality. Both Sly Cooper and TimeSplitters launched with a number of technical issues, leaving fans frustrated. Shortly afterwards, Sony patched both games up and they had been running well, but it looks like the company wasn’t done making improvements.

This comes just days after a large number of PS Plus Premium users reported significant improvements in cloud streaming, especially when playing PS3 games. Recently, Sony released a PS Portal beta update that allowed users to bypass the PS5 and stream games directly on the handheld. Some backend improvements were made, resulting in higher quality cloud streaming on both the PS5 and PS Portal.

Sony has been working with various teams, like the newly-acquired iSIZE, to improve its classics offering for Premium players. However, many of these classics are available for standalone purchase, so the ongoing improvement is good news for all players.
